Help Your Child Build The Confidence To Handle Friendships, Challenges, And Everyday Social Situations

Confidence isn't something children either have or don't have. It grows every time they learn what to do in the moments that matter most.

Does this sound like your child?

Your child wants friends. They want to join in. They want to feel included.
They just aren't always sure how to take that first step.

They come home saying, "Nobody wanted to play with me."

You know your child wants to be included. But when other children are already playing or talking, they aren't always sure how to join in.

The same friendship struggles keep popping up.

One day they're excited about a new friend. The next day they're upset because they had an argument, felt left out, or aren't sure why someone stopped playing with them.

They give up before they even begin.

Your child wants to put their hand up, ask to join a game, or try something new. Before they take that first step, thoughts like "What if they say no?" or "What if I get it wrong?" make staying quiet feel safer than trying.

You wish you could stand beside them and tell them exactly what to do.
But you can't be there for every recess, every group project, or every conversation.

The missing piece isn't confidence.

It's knowing what to do.

Children are taught how to read, write, solve math problems, and understand science.

But when it comes to making friends, joining a conversation, handling disappointment, or speaking up for themselves, they're often expected to figure it out on their own.

Some children do.

Many don't.

Not because they aren't capable, but because these skills were never taught in the first place.

That's why telling a child to "be more confident" rarely changes anything.

Confidence isn't the starting point.

It grows when a child knows how to join the conversation, work through a friendship problem, speak up respectfully, or bounce back after something doesn't go their way.

When children know what to do, they stop second-guessing themselves.

That's when confidence starts to grow.

Imagine if...

Instead of wondering how your child will handle the next friendship challenge, you know they have the skills to work through it on their own.

They join in with confidence.

Instead of standing on the sidelines wondering what to say, your child knows how to join a conversation, ask to play, and feel like they belong.

They handle friendship challenges with confidence.

A disagreement with a friend or a difficult day at school no longer feels like the end of the world. Your child knows how to pause, think through what happened, and decide what to do next.

They start believing in themselves.

They put their hand up. They speak up when something doesn't feel right. They try new things without giving up before they've even begun because they trust the skills they've learned, even when you're not there to guide them

Introducing

Delta Social Skills

The step by step program that helps children know what to do, so they can face friendships and everyday challenges with confidence.

Perfect for parents of children ages 8-13 who want to help their child build confidence, strengthen friendships, and navigate everyday social situations.

Most children are expected to "just figure out" friendships, conversations, and social situations.

Delta Social Skills was created because children deserve to be taught these skills, just like they're taught reading, writing, and math.

Instead of giving children scripts to memorize or simply telling them to "be more confident," the program teaches them how to think through social situations, understand different perspectives, and decide what to do next.

As they work through each lesson, they'll build the skills to make friends, communicate with confidence, manage emotions, handle everyday social challenges, and become more independent in the moments when they need those skills most.

What your child will learn

Every lesson gives your child practical tools they can use in everyday life, helping them become more confident one skill at a time.

Build resilience.

They'll learn how to turn "I can't" into "I can't...yet," so setbacks feel like part of learning instead of a reason to give up.

Develop healthier self talk.

Your child will learn to recognize unhelpful thoughts and replace them with more encouraging ways of thinking

Understand thoughts, feelings, and emotions.

They'll discover how thoughts influence emotions and actions, giving them simple strategies to manage big feelings with confidence.

Build stronger friendships.

From joining conversations to handling small disagreements and understanding boundaries, your child will learn skills they can use every day.

Speak up with confidence.

Whether it's asking to join a game, sharing an idea in class, or expressing how they feel, your child will learn how to communicate clearly and respectfully.

Believe in themselves.

As your child practices these skills, they'll begin to recognize their strengths, trust themselves more, and approach new situations with greater confidence.

Each lesson builds on the last, giving your child simple tools they can understand, remember, and use in everyday life.

Here's how your child will build confidence, one step at a time.

Each module builds on the last, giving your child practical tools they can use at school, at home, and with friends.

Meet Your Teacher

Hi, I'm Luciana Pacheco, although most of my students know me as Miss Lu.

After years of working with children in classrooms and as a behaviour specialist, I noticed the same pattern again and again.

Children wanted friends.

They wanted to join in.

They wanted to feel included.

They just didn't know what to do.

That wasn't because they weren't capable. It was because social skills are rarely taught the way reading, writing, or math are.

That's why I created Delta Social Skills.

For more than 16 years, I've helped children build confidence by teaching the practical skills behind it. My background in Psychology, Autism and Behavioural Science, classroom teaching, and behaviour therapy shaped every lesson in this program, making them practical, engaging, and neuroaffirming.

Since then, I've worked with thousands of students around the world and have received more than 700 five star reviews from parents who have seen their children grow in confidence, communication, and friendships.

My goal has never been to change who your child is.

It's to give them the skills to understand themselves, navigate social situations with confidence, and become more independent every time you're not there to help.

What makes Delta Social Skills different?

Many confidence and social skills programs focus on teaching children what to say.

Delta Social Skills teaches children how to understand what's happening, think through the situation, and decide what to do next.

Because real life doesn't come with a script.

our child learns how to think, not what to memorize.

Instead of practicing one "right" response, your child learns how to read social situations, understand different perspectives, and make decisions they can use in everyday life, whether they're making a new friend, joining a conversation, or working through a disagreement.

Confidence grows through practice, not advice.

Children don't become confident because they're told to "believe in themselves." They become confident because they have simple tools they can use when they don't know what to do. Every lesson breaks those skills into small, practical steps that children can understand and apply.

Your child is encouraged to be more of themselves, not someone else.

Delta Social Skills is intentionally neuroaffirming. The goal isn't to teach children to mask who they are or fit a particular mold. It's to help them understand themselves, communicate clearly, and build healthy relationships in a way that feels natural to them.

What parents often notice first

Every child is different, and progress looks different for every family. But parents commonly tell us they notice small changes that grow over time.

  • Their child starts speaking up more with friends, teachers, and other adults.

  • They find it easier to join conversations and group activities.

  • They express their feelings more clearly instead of shutting down.

  • They handle disappointment and frustration more calmly.

  • They become more willing to try new things without giving up straight away.

  • They begin replacing negative self talk with more encouraging, confident thinking.

  • They start believing in themselves and approaching new situations with greater confidence.

What are other parents saying:

It clearly made a big impression on him.

We had such a wonderful experience with Miss Lu. My 8 year old came out absolutely buzzing after his session, excited to share everything he’d learned about the “confidence line.”

- Mia R.

Super recommended!

Kids have a chance to identify themselves with situations that are presented during the session and learn to handle them in a positive way." - Mary Ann B

My son really enjoyed these classes

They were fun and light and so helpful. He begged for more classes, so I'm signing him up for more. He loved the ANTS lesson... that's the Automatic Negative Thoughts... lol. I recommend this class to your kids who could benefit from having more awareness, self-esteem and more! "
